WPJA- 7th Place

(This photo is a screen capture… thats why it doesn’t interact when you click on it)
I know its not first place, or even 2nd, but on WPJA it’s an honor just to place.
I love this image & the symbolism behind it. The reverence from this ceremony will go with me my whole life. It was an honor to photograph Jumana and John’s wedding.
JUDGES COMMENTS: The gold color scheme and circular shapes that occur throughout the image contribute to the viewer抯 understanding of this deeply spiritual moment. The crowns being blessed during this Greek-Orthodox service are framed nicely between the bride and groom. The shape of the crowns being held against the background of the church murals create a nice graphic element. Thanks WPJA Judges!
