Whitney & nick: Wedding!!!
As you probably saw in my TEASER post, I photographed one of the most amazing wedding on Saturday. Wow! A beautiful Bride and Groom, Great families,Locations,Style, guests, jewelry,Cars (FDR’s old car) everything just meshed well for this prestigious LA wedding.
Yes, my legs are still feeling it as if I ran a 3/4 marathon, I’m enjoying doing all of the edits for these images sitting down. No one guessed it, but the wedding ceremony was held at The LA Cathedral, the reception was at the beautiful California Club, where were all my comments?
I’m so impressed by the way everything came together for this. Hours, weeks & months of hard work paid off on this very day. Take a look at these images…
(I loved the unique but elegant dress)
(One of my favorite wedding traditions… getting ready in good light.)
(Hair and Makeup by Gisele Hung, she does amazing work!)
(Father of the bride admiring his daughter, these two continually urged eachother not to cry)
(the best is when a photograph can capture the nervousness & the sassyness all at once.)
( I love her ring, its a one of a kind hand crafted ring designed by Nick Vanderboom, the groom)
(Does it get any better then that?)
(American gothic)
(the wedding party)
(Actor Henry Gibson has stolen the hearts of many a viewer)
(A classy location calls for classy attire, she told me “If you can’t wear the hat to a nice wedding, where am I suppose to wear it?… I agreed, and I also mentioned teas and horse races)
(Katharine McPhee and David Foster performed during the ceremony and reception… so much talent!)
(They’re married!!!)
(The car FDR rode in)
(John C. McGinley was looking regal for this portrait)
(LA’s 13th Districts Councilman & Council president Garcetti offers a token from the city to the new bride and groom… followed by the dinner chimes.)
(The ball room made my night)
(1st dance as husband and wife)
(Katharine McPhee sings us all into another world)
(Nick Vanderboom,David Foster,Judy Piro,the new Whitney Vanderboom,Katharine McPhee & Dr. Lawrence Piro)
(Old Iron Side)
(The lovely maid of honor & the amazing composer, performer David Foster)
(And just like this, the celebration continued until the last song had been played… a wedding to remember)

All Ms.McPhee fans: Yes, she sang, (She’s friends w/the brides fam) yes she has an amazing voice and yes she should have won Am.Idol… but shes doing great and has a steller husband and I enjoyed meeting them, plus shes working w/David Foster who is BRILLIANT!… Hopefully I’ll be able to work with her in the future… that’s all for now.
I’ll post the slideshow on here as soon as I can!
Beautiful work. You have an eye for composition that I find really fantastic. Something very special about your work. I do hope there is a chance you get to work with Katharine possibly on her CD shoot or something for her new web presence. I would love to see what you would do with her. She is so sweet and stunningly beautiful with a personality that shines through. I’d love to see how your eye captures that quality about her.
Samuel- these are amazing!!! My hubby said he wishes I would have canceled our wedding anniversary trip after viewing these- I almost agree! Sorry I couldn’t be there for you- next time… I swear!
How come the parents are only in one pictuire together. In fact it is a bad picture because Judy looks like Larry’s mother. The pictures of Larry are not good due to being over done (face) like a bad ad from a & f (the old queen catalog)
Thanks for all the input and encouragement everyone.
KrisD: I wish you could have shot it with me !
Uplink Bill, glad you liked the images of Katharine, I would LOVE to photograph her next Album cover…we’ll see.
Eddie: Thanks for the comment and compliment!
Inocent Bystander: Plenty more images of Dr & Mrs. Piro, this was the only one with Mr. Foster and Miss McPhee as well as the newly weds. All images will be online password protected. Thanks for reading.
