Bobbie & Sandy were married at the beautiful Beverly Hills Hotel. Such a great wedding and an absolute honor to have been the photographer.

I spent the last week in Morocco shooting and enjoying some wild adventure with some of my favorite people. I can’t show you images from the wedding, since they are having a HUGE kick off reception here in LA and kicking off all media to their friends & family for the first time… Don’t want to spoil it. These are some of my favorite images that I found when I skimmed through the shots… So many great images!

Marrakech Morocco is an intense city, booming with industry that includes livestock, Textiles, rare jewels and a non stop supply of Moroccan antiques.

One of the most un-westernized cities that I’ve ever been to…absolutely no sign of western living besides the occasional nice car, or extreme luxery in the Riad’s. It’s up there with Habana Cuba as a city with almost no westernized items or way of living. More colorful then Cuba too…which I never thought could happen.

Johnny,Ellice,Kerry,Jackson,Taylor,Austin,Kim, Niki,Alex, Stephanie & I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Riad Zolah. A perfect luxary bed&breakfast kind of place that put up with many of our late nights and wild requests. We loved our stay there.

East Hampton

Spent a day East Hampton prepping for a shoot the following day. While Ira shot the rehersal dinner, Josiah & I did some exploring of our own.

The Beach, a few resturants & a few bars, then back to our “Cozy Cabin” which was more like a set from a horror film. But we enjoyed ourselves and photographed an amazing wedding the next day.

Harly & Cee’s Thailand Wedding

My first Thailand wedding ever! It was quite the adventure. Different customs and religious traditions then I’ve ever shot, I felt like a NatGeo photojournalist.

Cee & Harly had their wedding at the Ritz Carlton on July 4th & then a 2nd wedding in front of Cee’s family in the outskirts of Bangkok.

Harly’s Aunt & Uncle flew out from Massachusetts & his best friend Bruce flew in from Arizona to represent his side. Cee had her good friend Becki by her side & she’s from here in LA.

A wonderful experience to be with great clients and great friends as they step even further into their marriage covenant together. Love these images & the country of Thailand!

Working with the White Lilac, Details Details & The Montage is always a pleasure. But the real stars of the show were the Bride & Groom Gracie & Kyle. They were amazing! Its always so much fun to watch two people have so much fun at their own wedding. Something that always keeps me going from picture to picture. I love what I do.

Cee & Harly: LA Engagement Shoot

We started at the Getty Art musuem in North LA, before heading to the Malibu Pier, grabbing dinner in Downtown and then taking some images at The Nikon center.

Such a great shoot, an amazing couple and now you get to see some of the pictures!

I’m really looking forward to their summer wedding & then flying to Thailand with them for their Thai wedding. Can’t wait!

I’m in Brazil

Its been a great trip thus far. Still no intense beach day, or motorcycle tour around the city, but this is what I have seen and experienced… the rest is still kinda a secret… but when I can post it…I will!

Adam (www.looseluggage.com) and I are editing some amazing photos/footage from a recent amazing Brazilian shoot. I can’t wait to show video that Adam is putting together. He has some serious talent!

Sky (A dear friend of me and my family) is keeping us entertained with dozens of great songs while we edit. He works for (the amazing Charity) Agros International, he has worked hard all day catching up on communicating with the rest of his crew and amazing family. (www.agros.org)

Editing editing editing cooped up in a hotel right off of Copacabana. Wanna shoot during my last day here? Tomorrow at noon if you wanna shoot, I have a slot… but if not, I’ll be cruising around Brazil on a motorcycle exploring the most intricate parts.

These images are from Picinguaba Brazil, the little fishing town 4.5 hours South of Rio.

Dayna & JC’s Wedding!

Santa Monica CA. Hotel Casa Del Mar had a marine layer surrounding it when my team and I arrived to photograph Dayna and JC’s wedding. It was a cool morning, but the low fog had a warmth about it, a soothing feel. Maybe it was because I was excited to photograph Dayna, JC and all of their wedding, or maybe its because I get my favorite shots in overcast weather, or maybe it was just a blessed day. Either way, I knew it was going to be a good day (And night).

And I was right.

Dayna and her bridemaids were fun to shoot, they were constantly dreaming up scenarios for her and always trying to recreate an image from their weddings… (Which can be hilarious hearing their ideas) Meanwhile, I had KrisD shooting the men at the Viceroy (I know, I was jealous too) The Viceroy is one of my top 5 places to photograph… SIDENOTE: they should hire me to shoot all their ad campaigns & sponsor me with hats and free hotel rooms.

The ceremony was in Pasadena at a beautiful church! Holy family church in Pasadena is beautiful! However It is a pain to shoot there . The 5-6 times I’ve shot there, the church lady has reminded me of the devil herself…she rules the church with an iron fist and she likes to bark at vendors that don’t abide by the bogus church rules. Anyways, I could go on and on, but it was so bad once, that I disguised myself as a guest and sat in one of the front pews for a better set of images…

Moving along.

I loved working with the vendors at this wedding. Yana Skylar Did hair and makeup for the ladies. White Lilac did the beautiful floral, Beth Helmstetter designed and planned the event, Elysium did the videography (excited to see their edit!), Yari More brought his amazing band. DJ Nahchey kept the party going after hours., along with a great mini donut maker “The Fry Girl“

A wonderful wedding day, a great celebration at night a perfect way to celebrate a brand new marriage!

Hillary & Scott’s Wedding

Hillary and Scott’s NY wedding was at “The Palace Hotel” in Downtown Manhattan.

After previous days and days of rain and wind, the sky opened up on this day with fresh sun light and a soft breeze. Everything came together just as Hillary had dreamed. They were married at 7:30pm Saturday July 18th and everything was picture perfect.

I absolutely love photographing at a solo location all day, it removes the stress of moving from place to place, it allows me to keep focused and establish a comfortable relationship with the lighting.

Everything from the dress to the flowers, the cake, the boa’s that were passed out on the dance floor, the creative shoot on the street and the chemistry between Scott and Hillary was a highlight!

I’m trying to post up some images from Saturday’s wedding at “The Palace Hotel” but I keep getting distracted by other shoots (Ira’s Bride & Bloom shoot, Rachel Platten’s, Priya & Nikhil’s Eng), being in NY is fun, hitting the town with friends (Adam & Desiree)

Its been a great trip so far and I’m excited for my next 2 shoots (one of which starts in an hour)

Paythan & Erica’s wedding

Ira asked me to photograph a wedding with him. Since I had the day open, I jumped at the opportunity and quickly found myself sweating hard (mid 90′sº) at St. Regis with my black suit on and photo gear intow. I brought along Micah Cordy so I could show him the ways and Ira brought Adam Sjoberg to assist.

St. Regis is a fun hotel to shoot at due to the royal pillars, natural lighting almost everywhere and spacious rooms. Kim Bradford Events coordinated and Curtis from Living Cinema brought the video to life.

Working with another photographer is always fun and gives you a challenges and goals to accomplish that you wouldn’t normally (ie. Spending 2 hours with one person and making them look good in everyshot, or photographing details one after another half the day) its alot different then needing to take posed shots, creative images of the B&G and pictures of the bride… a 2nd photographer is pretty much there to make sure the groom gets documented… in my opinion. (Details & Cocktail hour too if the B&G decide to see eachother at the alter 1st)

I photographed a wedding with Ira at the St. Regis Monarch Beach.

Adam Sjoberg flew from NY to assist and my Intern Micah (Intern #1) assisted me.

One of the highlights of the day was driving in Micah’s ol’school VW bus. Nothing like driving one of those bus’s after a 12 hour days work.

I like what Adam had to say about the small photosession we had in the bus.

As you probably saw in my TEASER post, I photographed one of the most amazing wedding on Saturday. Wow! A beautiful Bride and Groom, Great families,Locations,Style,guests, jewelry,Cars (FDR’s old car) everything just meshed well for this prestigious LA wedding.

Yes, my legs are still feeling it as if I ran a 3/4 marathon, I’m enjoying doing all of the edits for these images sitting down. No one guessed it, but the wedding ceremony was held at The LA Cathedral, the reception was at the beautiful California Club, where were all my comments?

I’m so impressed by the way everything came together for this. Hours,weeks & months of hard work paid off on this very day. Take a look at these images…

Jennifer and Andrew’s wedding

The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel hosted the wedding of Jennifer and Andrew last Saturday.

Nerves heated when the night before brought rain, but quickly cooled as the southern california sun opened up in the sky and brought in gorgeous light.

In the fall I photographed Jennifer and Andrew’s Engagement shoot (seen HERE) Its so nice to be able to photograph a couple for an eng.shoot and then be apart of their wedding day. After a wedding I feel like inviting everyone to family functions. I know their families, they know me, its as if I’m apart of the crew. I love developing relationships with my clients, their the best!

The NY studio

I’m here in New York, relaxing in the Manhattan studio preparing for some meetings and a wedding at St. Regis this Saturday.

Getting off the plane at 8:30pm and walking into theicy air at JFK was quite the shock. The 2 hour process of getting my luggage, watching a women have a stroke and riding the subway to West 4th street made me thirsty. When I walked in the door, good friend of mine Adam Sjoberg had a gin and tonic freshly shaken for me. I sat down and talked with him for awhile until Ira and a extremely talented wedding coordinator Annie Lee walked in the door for coffee and relaxation.

Its been a good night, some good people, good gin and now hopefully getting some sleep for a big day tomorrow!
