Ami and Amir were married on one of the most gorgeous days southern california had this year.

Ami’s room at The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel looked over the ceremony site and even further down the beach at one of the most beautiful sun bathing scenes around.

The laid back and happy bride is the most photogenic kind and thats just what Ami was.

Carrie Chen of Details Details Event Planning was outstanding and fun to work with her team was great too! I love working with them.

Nisie’s Enchanted Florist created a beautiful design and layout for the ballroom that complemented The Ritz very well.

Ashley & James’ wedding day can be summed up in 3 words, Beautiful,Exciting & Wild.

Beautiful: Just look at them and the setting!

Exciting: When everything comes together so perfectly, its hard not to be excited. Getting married to the one you love with the people you love surrounding you pretty much sums it up.

Wild: You should see Ashley & James with their friends. Wow. I’d be surprised if anyone slept that night. Great times celebrating a beautiful couple.

I was and still am so honored to have been the chosen photographer for their wedding weekend. I LOVED every minute of it!

The most perfect weather Palm Desert could possibly offer was the night Ashley and James had their rehearsal dinner. Set in the heart of La Quinta Resort, the couple had their closest friends and family celebrate into the night with them.

Everyone from the age of 5 to the age of “I’m not telling you” had an amazing night. Face painting and a balloon artist for the kids, open bar and plenty of great food for the Adults kept this celebration happening until late.

Just wait until you see their wedding day! Perfect!

(It’s so great to be apart of the wedding process, to document everything from the Engagement Shoot, to the rehearsal dinner and then the wedding, I feel so much more invested in Ashley and James’ lives. It’s really a rewarding job I have.)

Lauren & Peter, are an incredible couple, I haven’t met many people that make manhattan feel like a small town. Everywhere we went one or both of them knew somebody, it was as if I were with the unofficial mayors of the city.

Getting to know Lauren & Peter was such a joy, two people with energy, chemistry and a good hold on whats important in life. I love documenting a couple in love, Can’t wait for their June wedding in the Hamptons.

Paris & Kevin were married at Pelican Hill, a perfect day, the sun was out, the warm breeze cooled down the warmth and made for a wonderful evening.

White Lilac did an excellent job of putting the decor and design together for the Cermony & reception, Pelican Hill provided great day of service & Mandy from Hollywood Hotel was the day of Coordinator. Elysium did the Video (which I can’t wait to see).

What a party Paris & Kevin threw. Everything was perfect and couldn’t have been better. A great day for a great set of people. May their love last forever and may they start a family that changes everything & for the better.

Gracie & Kyle flew in from Colorado for some important meetings and on the list of things to do was shoot Engagement Photos with me!

The theme of this shoot for me was “Summer Luxury” capturing the beauty in the subjects, location and available lighting. I wanted to capture a feeling of the Amalfi coast, french Riviera/ Hamptons kind of feel. I love what came out of it!

Such a great couple, fun lively, easy to laugh with and just overall two great human beings. Photographing their wedding is something I’m looking forward too.

I photographed Wayne & Erin in a few selective spots in Santa Barbara. We got perfect weather and a great sunset to work with. It was good getting to know this couple, finding their best angles, hearing their humor & interactions with each other. Their Fall wedding should be a wild one! I was able to have dinner with them afterwards, sip some cocktails and talk about upcoming wedding plans, hopes & dreams for the future and what kind of fruit is best to mix with cachaca for Caipirinha‘s the brazilian cocktail.

Remind me to shoot with umbrella’s more often. Everytime I work with either the sun or rain-brella’s (why aren’t they called that?) I always end up with an image I’m overly happy about.

Although with the kind of amazing bride and groom’s I work with, I could probably photograph them in an empty building with large florescent lights and auto-parts everywhere and still come out with images I love. So… much of the success of any image is based off of the subject and that’s the main goal when photographing a wedding… bringing my subjects to life on “film”.

A few keys for great wedding photos:

• The Engagement shoot- The shoot I did with C&J in July helped so much. (See their Eng. Images >here<) I was able to get to know both of their styles, their mannerisms and what they loved to do together. This helps make for more relaxed images on the wedding day and a higher trust level from your clients.

Carol and Jerry’s wedding was a perfect example of great subjects. The chemistry, the smiles, they are perfect for eachother and it shows. Everything else came together wonderfully as well! (Lighting, Locations, timing,Equipment, transportaion…everything!)

Another key to great images is great planning, good time managment and the locations you choose. Much of this comes together with a great Coordinator. Carol & Jerry had the talented Kim Bradford as their event planner and coordinator. Not only does a great coordinator keep things together and as planned during the day, most of their job is pre-wedding day, they put weeks of thought into what times and locations work to fit the Bride & Groom… I have so much respect for the wedding Planners and event designers I work with. I love them all!

Working with other great vendors is also key. Nothing like having other vendors constantly in your way, or interfering with the timing of the day. (I photographed a wedding where the wedding singer was an hour late to the ceremony)

A couple in love + nothing but good images on the agenda= Magic in the making. I’m not talking Disney-ville magic; I’m talking real life chemistry between two people and the relationship they develop with my camera. My Canon 5D is quite the love triangle magnet these days. The camera loved what happened during this shoot (So did I) Casey and Giselle gave me the reins for the shoot and loved with my crazy ideas… here are the results!

I Photographed Michelle William’s amazing fashion line “Quail” (QisforQuail.com) in Downtown LA.

During the shoot I had Intern #2 Niall McCarthy grab the other camera and shoot some on set “Behind the Scenes” shots.
