Samuel was recently featured in PDN’s annual “Top Knots” winners gallery. Featured with some of the finest wedding photographs of the year, Samuel’s image of Ira & Andrea in Brazil made it to the best of “Ceremonies” category. Amy & Jason’s wedding day was perfect. A blend of classic style, laid back confidence and perfectly planned events played into this wedding being one of the most beautiful and elegant events to date.

Vibiana was the perfect location for this downtown LA wedding ceremony & reception.  I love this location, the history, the ornate designs and the 100′ ceilings made my job more enjoyable.

Beth of Beth Helmstetter Events did a fantastic job with her team of planners. Everything was planned so smoothly and coordinated to perfection.

Emily & Eric had their perfect destination wedding weekend. An island wedding on Maui with their 20 closest friends and family members.

Shooting photos in Hawaii is a dream, I was so honored to be a part of this beautiful wedding celebration.

Emily & Eric are some of my favorite people, their wedding was so enjoyable to me and my assistant.

A beautiful breeze on a warm southern California day set the mood for this graceful and elegant wedding. Terrenea Resort has the perfect backdrop, a coastal 180º view, stunning sunsets and a beautiful beach. Nisie’s Enchanted florist did a stunning job with the event design and floral, Carolyn Chen of The Special Day planned and coordinated the day to perfection. (Love her!) Adam Sjoberg had his team of videographers from Ira Lippke Studios (Hard to beat that brotherly connection). Jennifer & Mark were beautiful together and couldn’t have been more romantic. They were stunning to shoot because of their amazing chemistry, great smiles and of course their excitement for their new marriage. Refreshing to see such energy.

Darby & Andrew wanted their Engagement photos to reflect their lifestyle. Living in the Bowery in Midtown Manhattan, enjoying the shops in their bustling and lively neighborhood

This couple was such a joy to photograph. Relaxed, fun and beautiful together. The images I was able to capture tell the story perfectly. A young amazing couple in love, two people that are planning to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife. And I can see why. Their perfect for eachother. Its one thing to visit Bali Indonesia, Its another thing to be flown out to photograph one of the most gorgeous and eloquent weddings there. That is exactly what I was doing. Photographing a gorgeous destination wedding alongside my brother and talented photographer Ira Lippke. He brought me on to shoot as his 2nd photographer and I gladly accepted the role.

I absolutely loved photographing both the Bride (who is stunning) and the Groom (who is a joy to be around).

I was so excited to photograph Karie & Shervin’s wedding! Not only was it at one of the most gorgeous locations in all of Southern California, I also was joining a great team of vendors. Alicia Townsend from Details Details did all the Planning & Coordinating, Christopher Aldama from Fiori Fresco did the Floral and Event Design. Julie Hill was the videographer from Elysium Productions.

The lovely couple were intentional about who they chose to put on their dream wedding day. The result was a flawless and beautiful wedding day that surrounded the newlyweds with their family and friends from all over the world.

A gorgeous couple, a beautiful location and a wonderful crew to help make it all perfect.

You may recognize both Erica & Ari from their engagement session we shot at the Griffith observatory and the LACMA. This couple is so much fun to photograph, good energy, chemistry and tasteful style for days.

Erica looked stunning in her Oscar De La Renta wedding dress and Ari swept her off her feet with his dashing good looks and charm. It really was a great day to be a photographer.

I’ll try to make this dialog quick since you would probably rather see the photos below.

As you may know, my brother Ira is a great photographer, he was an intrical part of me becoming a photographer as well. He had a bride and groom hire him to photograph their wedding in Bali Indonesia, which just so happens to be the best Island in the world (Conde Nast said that at somepoint) Anyways, Ira showed the clients my work as well and they had me fly out to document the wedding day with him. Perfect right? To top it off, Andrea; Ira’s wife came out to assist so it was a family affair.

What you are about to see is me on vacation with my brother and sister in law… you think that sounds boring? Well you’re wrong, yeah I ditched them once in awhile and explored solo. Such a great trip! More images to come of the gorgeous wedding!

Ami and Amir were married on one of the most gorgeous days southern california had this year.

Ami’s room at The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel looked over the ceremony site and even further down the beach at one of the most beautiful sun bathing scenes around.

The laid back and happy bride is the most photogenic kind and thats just what Ami was.

Nisie’s Enchanted Florist created a beautiful design and layout for the ballroom that complemented The Ritz very well.

Courtney & Pete exchanged vows and became married in front of their closest friends and family, after the small ceremony, they hosted a party for their favorite people that included music by the LA All-Stars, amazing dinner from the Executive Chef Gabriel Ask, desert by Pink Berry and a non stop atmosphere of celebration.

I loved the laid back, carefree personalities of the bride & groom. Nothing could stress them out, they were at ease and enjoying every minute of their wedding day.

The next day was spent relaxing on top of The Montage roof, wading in the pool and sipping bloody mary’s while looking over Beverly Hills.

My best wishes go out to the newly married couple, such an honor to have been a part of such a weekend!

Karie & Shervin were so fun to photograph for their engagement shoot.

I took them out into the middle of nowwhere and told them to just have an adventure. Complete with a bottle of wine, a blanket and a free evening to spend with eachother.

I love their chemistry and eagerness to just enjoy the evening.

Their wedding is this next Saturday, I can’t wait to be apart of the day!

I caught up with Lauren and Michael in between their wild schedules of coast hopping, concerts, shopping in the hamptons and enjoying the highlife southern california has to offer. Adding this photoshoot to their busy resume of activities seemed to flow naturally for this beautiful couple. I love how they jumped right into this shoot and turned it into a fun adventure. As a photographer that’s my dream!

This location fit them well and I felt like we could have been there all night photographing the two of them or just hanging out. Being around this couple is alot of fun and I can’t wait to be apart of their Florida wedding next spring!
